Unfulfilled promises from previous Obama speeches (AP)

As President Barack Obama prepares to address the nation Tuesday night, promises from his previous two State of the Union addresses remain unfulfilled. Here's a look at some of them:

2011:

_Make a tuition tax credit permanent.

_Eliminate billions in taxpayer dollars to oil companies.

_Overhaul immigration and education laws.

_Reform the tax code to eliminate loopholes and lower corporate rates.

2010:

_Meet monthly with congressional Democratic and Republican leaders.

_Overhaul immigration and education laws.

_Slash tax breaks for companies that ship jobs overseas, and give them to companies that create jobs in the U.S.
